Where The Magic Happens

“A young man leaves home to go on an adventure and seek his fortune. What will he find? Will he ever return?
An enchanting tale of the imagination, of fantastical visions, beliefs; and of fairies at the bottom of the garden.”

Bright Sparks’ new show for summer 2023 used movement, dance, music and drama, to tell an otherworldly tale about an old manor house and the people who live there. After a long cold winter, the Lord of the Manor awaits the return of his son. And at the bottom of the garden, the fairies await the coming of the Green Man to herald in the Spring. Can the fairies make our dreams come true? We think they can. You just have to believe.

Performanced at stage@leeds, University of Leeds.

Thursday 8th June at 1.30pm
Friday 9th June at 1.30pm and 7.30pm

The stage@leeds theatre is located in the behind The Old Bar, which is to the left of the Parkinson Building clock tower. Go through the small passageway to the left of the big steps, go across the round seated area with the wobbly sculpture, down the path; and keep a look out for a small footbridge. You will see the stage@leeds sign on the building as you approach and cross the bridge.

Running time: 1hr 15mins (no interval).

And a huge thank-you to each and every one of you who helped to make this show happen. It's amazing what you can achieve if you just believe!
